We are a trade association representing chemical companies
producing around 80% of the plasticisers manufactured in Europe.

ECPI is committed to the safe, sustainable and environmentally responsible use of plasticisers. We provide up-to-date scientific and regulatory information related to plasticisers and flexible PVC to end- users, policy makers and other key stakeholders. Our association also supports and conducts scientific research and is constantly engaged in advocacy and communication activities. ECPI is a sector group of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council.

Public consultation on DINP classification

A dossier for classification of DINP was published on 4th April 2017. The Danish competent authorities have requested ECHA to propose classification of DINP as toxic to reproduction.   We are aware of this and in our opinion, such classification is not warranted based on current scientific knowledge, as demonstrated in a recent overview paper.   ECPI are monitoring this...
